Thank you for showing an interest in
Kerem School. Our pupils enjoy many benefits including;
• A small, friendly and local school in the heart of the community where
everyone knows each other and where every child receives care and attention
as a valued individual.
• A governing body and staff committed to achieving standards of excellence
in both secular and Jewish Studies.
We aim to develop in each child an understanding of, and positive commitment
to, orthodox Judaism; a sense of identity with Israel and the Jewish people;
and an empathy with the culture and heritage of the United Kingdom. We offer
a structured framework that will enable our pupils to achieve their
potential in their educational, moral, physical and social development. In
addition to providing a broad and balanced curriculum, we seek to develop in
all our pupils, critical thought, independent learning, social
responsibility and self-discipline. We value a close and effective
partnership between governors, parents and staff so that we can create an
outstanding school of which we and the wider community can be proud. We hope
that the information on our website will give you some insight into the
daily life of Kerem. An Open Morning is held each year and prospective
parents may arrange to view the school at other times by appointment.

Kerem School aims to provide a broad,
stimulating and intensive secular and Jewish education, linked to the needs
of each child, within a caring, structured and purposeful environment.
Kerem School Early Year Unit
seeks to lay firm foundations for future learning across all areas
of experience, and has an integrated approach to the Jewish and
secular areas of the curriculum. As acknowledged by Ofsted, we offer the highest standards of
care and education for 3 ˝-5 year olds. If you wish to know more about
the Early Years Unit you are welcome to visit us by appointment.
Kerem School is proud of its excellent
academic record. Emphasis is placed on individual attention being
given to each child so that the highest possible standard can be
reached. Kerem School offers a broad and intensive
curriculum and selects pupils from the feeder nursery, Early Years Unit. Our
Open Morning in October will enable you to see the School at work and,
if you have made an application for your child for the coming academic
year, you will automatically be invited. Visits to the School at other
times are arranged by telephoning the school secretary. Interviews are
held in November and places are offered in December for the following
September.
We want our pupils to enjoy their time with
us, recognising their strong personal link with Jewish Learning,
traditions and culture under the guidance of our Honorary Principal
Rabbi.
We have an exceptional team of professional
teachers, whose major priority is to help every pupil achieve his or
her potential and find expression for individual talents.
Kerem is unique. For over 50 years we have
provided academic excellence in both Jewish and Secular subjects and we
look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s education.

Kerem School
KEREM SCHOOL – it will remain with you for life!
Kerem provides a happy, successful, stimulating and secure Jewish environment where classes are small and friendships and confidence will flourish.
We encourage our children to develop an enthusiasm for a modern orthodox way of life and promote a love of Israel. We develop the intellectual, academic, emotional, social, spiritual and physical potential of each child. Kerem is about the child and an exceptional team of educators provide all the tools to enable his or her potential to be reached.
Kerem School is at the heart of the local community, and the community is very much at the heart of the school. Kerem’s graduates gain places at all the Jewish secondary schools, and at the top independent schools. The excellent education received at Kerem provides a strong foundation for life.
Kerem School is an exciting place to be. Our new Kerem Early Years Unit opened its doors at the beginning of this term. The amazing indoor and outdoor facilities provide an exceptional educational experience under the expert guidance of our Early Years Team. We strongly believe that early childhood is a time of developing the life skills essential to enable our pupils to discover the excitement of learning and the rewards of achievement.
The Kerem School graduate is well qualified, confident, articulate, responsible, polite, independent, caring and knowledgeable in both secular and Jewish subjects. The graduate is secure in his or her Jewish identity, has a love of Israel, and is ready to make a big contribution to secondary school!
