AROUND THE SCHOOL
With
the festival of Succot on staring on Friday night the children are
learning about the succah. They are hearing what it is made of, what
we do in it and why we put one up. Next week weather permitting they
will be able to eat in our school succah during chol hamoed. They
are learning about the arbah minim - lulav and etrog. This has
extended their knowledge of leaf shapes and the senses of sound and
smell. They will also learn that shaking the lulav reminds us that
Hashem is everywhere, looks after us and all the Jewish people
should be united and care about each other.
