Message From The Chairman of the PTA
The Kerem Parent-Teacher Association is a
lively and active group made up of the parents of pupils from both
Kerem House and Kerem School. There is a small executive committee
and we are always happy to hear from new parents who would like to
take an active part in the Association. We exist firstly to raise
money for the Schools so that we can buy items of equipment that the
schools would not otherwise be able to afford such as computers and
other equipment.
Our second purpose is to keep up a good
relationship between the parents and staff at the Schools. We feel
this is a very important part of our existence and we invite the
staff to attend and take part in all our activities.
Finally, we feel that the children prosper
when their parents meet and get to know each other, so several times
a year we have an opportunity either for the parents in each class
to meet, or for the parents of the Schools generally to get
together.
The Chairman of the PTA keeps in close
touch with the Head Teachers of both the School and the Kindergarten
and represents the PTA on the Governing Body so that the voice of
the parents is heard when and if necessary.
We have a new parents evening at someone’s
home at the beginning of each year and we would be delighted to meet
and welcome you then to what is purely a social evening. Later on in
the term we have our first formal meeting and hope that you will
come along and air your views and ideas and become active members of
the PTA.
